I've always been a fan of Savard's, granted it was based on less viewings than CBJ fans.

I've always been a fan of Savard's, granted it was based on less viewings than CBJ fans.

The majority of Savard's career, he played with Jack Johnson and had to be Jack's defensive conscience. So he came across as a competent if unspectacular defender with little to no offensive upside.

This year, he got to play with Murray and Nutivaara and has really come out of his shell offensively. As his confidence grows, so does his penchant for making the big play.
