anyone who lied and said this wasn't about AEW...clearly didn't see the commercial for NXT on Raw.

WWE just admitted it.

Why wouldn't they advertise their own product? You're being entirely too unreasonable about the degree to which they are counter-programming AEW. USA paid to have NXT as a brand. This is way more about WWE putting over that brand to please the people that paid for it than it is just going after AEW. They aren't totally ignoring AEW, but it isn't to the degree you keep taking this in

that should’ve been a 5 minute match and would’ve made it 3-3 heading into the trash main event.

but nope, they had to protect The jv crusierweight.
