Next year will be played in Lincoln on Saturday, and NU will seek another opponent for the Friday after Thanksgiving game in 2014.

Newsflash! I'm not thrilled about playing an FCS school on the Friday after Thanksgiving, no different than playing CU. I hope it's Penn Street, they may be down for a few years but in the long run it would be a great game to end the regular season with.

As an Iowa fan I am in favor of them not playing on Saturdays either since thats basically what we already did the last half of the season....

Interesting idea......I know that most Husker fans would like to bring back the Thanksgiving Oklahoma game though if we were to do something like that......I could live with A&M as a yearly OOC rival game though.......

That would be my first conference game choice as well (ideally, for me anyways, we'd put Oklahoma back there but wont ever happen) .......I am a little concerned if we will keep that game though through the conference expansion stuff......

I really doubt either team would want a strong OOC opponent that deep into the season. Unless the FBS postseason was greatly expanded and it couldn't ruin anyone's season.

Penn State and us are a yearly Thanksgiving rivalry now. There is a trophy planned for next year and everything.

You guys might to look at Michigan State. I'm not sure how good they will be in the long term, but PSU was always their Thanksgiving opponent. They might want a new yearly opponent as a replacement.

Fuck friday after TG. It was something special and then we agreed to give that up. CU and Iowa have been disappointments for the most part. Just be done with it.

I'm pretty much on the same page as you.

It was great as NU/OU, but NU/CU was always meh.. I think after NU/OU died, Nebraska kind of looked at it as an opportunity to be seen nationally for recruiting purposes, but last Friday there were 14 games on (28 teams).

It's become a diluted day.

Get Oklahoma back, who cares if its a late tough OOC game. If you can't man up and beat the big dogs then you don't deserve a shot at the championship. Teams that get in with soft schedules are a joke.
