That penalty should carry more weight some how than 1 yard that basically meant nothing on what was already a first down. That could have caused serious injury and was illegal.
Now on the other hand, slapping a ball out of someone's hand after a play was over hurts no one. Yet they get 15 yards on the drive?
It's way too lopsided.
