Seahawks jet arrives at New Jersey's Newark airport. 12th man flag waving from the cockpit as it taxis to the gate. Love it. GO HAWKS!!!

I really don't want to see a storm come in for several reasons. I want to see which team is the best in an honest fight. I neither want either team to have the weather as an excuse nor see reduced playbooks on the biggest stage in football because of it.

Also the league is talking about the possibility of moving the game anywhere from that Friday to Monday if needed to avoid a bad weather situation and that would flat out suck balls. So many have made their annual plans and to have it actually change days would ruin the event for a lot of people. Can you imagine a SB on a Friday? I mean really? If they change the day it will be a huge slap in the face to the league.

The closer they get to the game I've changed my stance on having it outside. I was all for it, thinking the cold weather, possible snow, would benefit the Hawks. But, now I'm picturing a sloppy low scoring game and I don't want to see that either. Plus, if the Hawks win it will be nothing but weather excuses for Manning and Co. from the fans and media. I want to see the #1 offense and the #1 defense at full strength with no weather implications.

Starting to wish they didn't decide to have this in NJ this year.

They could make those excuses, but isn't it said that the best team is the one that makes the adjustments. If Denver loses, it'll be because what they do on the field, perfect weather or not.

We are the #1 team in the league at pass D. The Broncos are #27.

While the Broncos run D performed well in the 2nd half of season, they are facing BeastMode whose the best after contact RB in the game.

Broncos will have to game plan for a healthy Harvin out there.

This game is not at mile high.

P Manning has put up huge numbers this year, but it was because they turned into high scoring shootouts where neither team played much D. The Seahawks D is #1 right now and also at basically full strength.

I love how so many have started swinging from Mannings sack the past week. They're in for a rude awakening when the Seattle D and O go to work.

According to ticket site tiqiq Seahawk fans have purchased twice the number tickets to the Super Bowl as Bronco fans. The 12s are doing what they do best.

There was a piece on Grantland yesterday that put the Broncos offense and the Seahawks defense into historical context. This might be the ultimate "Irresistible force vs. Immovable object" scenario when those units are on the field. By many measures, both the Broncos offense and the Seahawks defense rank among the best all-time. He really goes in-depth on this. I encourage everyone to read it if they haven't yet.

I saw that. It's a shame that the flag got stuck on what looked like antennae at one point, which caused a couple of rips. Hopefully they get it patched up in time for the game.

The more I think about this game, the more I think the Seattle Seahawks are about to bring home the first Lombardi Trophy to Seattle!

I just think our offense is going to be more than they expected Sunday. We have the #1 offense vs the #1 defense, but our offense is quite a bit better than their defense (#7 vs #13 if I remember correctly).

I think Percy Harvin is the difference maker Sunday. He and Russell will hook up for a couple big plays and we see Harvin's first Seahawks TD in the Super Bowl!

:agree: As crazy as this might sound, I don't know if Manning will be able to keep up with the Seahawks offense.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but then decided to post it here instead of starting a new thread.

I heard an interesting stat this morning driving to the park and ride on ESPN Radio. I was listening to Mike & Mike, and they said that the Broncos led the league in yards after the catch at 2500 and the Hawks led the league in yards allowed after the catch at 1200.

So what does that stat tell us if anything? Interested in hearing your thoughts on this.

It tells me that we are going to tackle well, and probably make them wish they had never caught the ball in the first place.

Looking very forward to the upcoming SB and expect a really hard fought game. Can't remember the last time there were so many match ups that looked intriguing.

Don't know who will win, but think it will come down to TOs. Think I saw a stat which showed the Hawks winning like 24 out of 27 times when leading the TO battle. If Percy has a big game, that will favor Seattle as well.

Good luck regardless and no injuries.

This is only the second time all year that Seattle isn't favored.

Denver has yet to be an underdog
