OPI on Kittle was brutal. But you have to move on. Regardless of that call, the Niners still collapsed in the 4th. And that is a habit they are getting really good at now.

If Shanahan were faced with 4th and 1 in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl, he will punt and the Niners will probably lose a close game again.

That was embarrassing from the refs...

They let them play the whole game and then with less than 2 mins in the game you going to call 2 PI first and goals on the last drive of the season? The 1st PI was ridiculous and that was on a 3rd and 8... without that call it would have been 4th and 8 and a whole new situation..

There will be people that say .... well how about the missed facemask on Ramey... It was missed but they let them play through it.... PLUS the Rams had damn near 30 more minutes of football to make it up... You call a PI for the set up TD with 1:40 secs in the superbowl.... You can't do shit about that... but get fucked out of your season..

I think McVay got bailed out by Stafford and Kupp and the defense tonight but I will give him credit for that gutsy 4th and 1 call on the last drive where he had Kupp take the handoff. Cinci stops that play and McVay is getting roasted by Rams fans and media alike.

Shanny had a QB he had almost zero faith in, a defense-first team and had not done it all season (Niners were one of, if not the most unlikely team to go for it on 4th in the reg season). Maybe by NEXT season, after Trey has a year under his belt, Shanny will change his style.
