A disturbing stat: Patrick Mahomes has never lost to a Vic Fangio defense. He won every single time when Fangio coached Denver, and has never lost to this defensive mastermind.

But...this is a pretty good version of the Fangio defense. First time for everything! Hurts apparently became the first QB to lose the SB his first time out and get back, a stat that surprised me.

But...this is a pretty good version of the Fangio defense. First time for everything! Hurts apparently became the first QB to lose the SB his first time out and get back, a stat that surprised me.

He actually struggled some against Fangio while in Denver; didn't matter as Denver was ass offensively. Has done much better more recently. Between the Bucs SB and Fangio, those two things have forced Mahomes to mature as a QB as his surrounding cast offensively has generally gotten worse as his career goes on.

I don't think Philly needs to stop him...just to contain him. They've got a very physical offensive line...and should be able to put up some points of their own. I agree that this game is a toss up though.

I realize Spagnuolo and Dave Toub get a great deal of praise, but if someone really wanted to shit in my cheerios while actually improving their team, they'd hire Dave Merritt, the secondary coach.
