Man, do I ever love stuff like this! It's so much more fun in the hindsight of that beat down the Broncos put on the Panthers. Sure, they didn't ice the game until late. But it was pretty evident early on that even without an offense the Broncos were in command of that game.

Oh, and knock that offense all you want. The 2015 Broncos are the only team to score on the 2015 Panthers in an opening drive, a fact that some Panthers players acknowledged left them unsettled in the early moments of the game.

Love all this! Especially since we're currently living in the "off season of disrespect". Seems like everyone has penciled the Raiders or Chiefs in for the AFCW title and the exaggeration of the Broncos off season departures continues. The national media and fans are doing us a huge favor by helping the Broncos roll into the 2016 season with a serious chip on their shoulders. Repeating will be very tough but this squad will grind out a lot of wins IMO. Go Broncos!

Finishing up some work tonight at home and I see on the NFL Network they have our game against the Cowboys in 2013 on. Honestly watching this offense now after what we saw this past year it just makes me appreciate all the more how incredible that offense was. I mean we have been spoiled as Bronco fans getting to watch one of the greatest defenses and having the most historical offense in NFL history while Manning put together a season for the ages.

Just watching this game I loved that if we got a holding call the offense showed no panic. All it meant was the next play was going to be a 25 yard seam route to Julius Thomas for an easy first down. I will say that if JT could ever stay healthy that guy could be huge beyond what he has been. He was a big part of why that offense was so explosive. Beyond the passing game though very impressed with Moreno running the football. That season he just ran with such purpose. I mean he ran like he was in Spain with the bulls chasing after him on every single player. Throw in he just had a passion/fire about him that just made you want to see what he did next.

Anyway this really has been a very special 4 years with Manning and this Broncos team. As much as I am ready to move on to the next stage of our team's history I will definitely look back at this time as one of the more special times. Also we were so close to having both of these units together. I mean can you imagine the 2013 offense with our 2015 defense? And honestly I don't think cap wise we would have been that far off. Remember that 2013 unit had DT, Decker, and JT all very cost efficient. The OL wasn't all that expensive either compared to what we have today. Manning cost just about the same. I think the RB unit maybe would have cost just a bit more than what we had this past year but otherwise a very cost effective group.

I read somewhere that he really wants to play for the Broncos again. Problem is our backfield already looks pretty crowded. I doubt the Broncos would want to devote more cap space to an already filled position. Injury is about the only way I see that happening.

I'm sure Gase wouldn't mind a healthy Moreno. That is the problem though is how much can that knee actually hold up. If healthy he is a force to be wreckoned with. Watching him last night all I can think is what could have been if he could have stayed healthy in his career.
