I think the bigger problem is AP thinks himself as the victim. That turns off a lot of people

There is some truth to that.

But if management showed that they didn't have your back, I'm not talking about beating up your moms or your girlfriend here, just disciplining your child like you you were taught when growing up (although it was excessive and AP conceded that he shouldn't have used a tree switch and wouldn't do it again), then it's time to move on. I was beaten with electrical extension cords and hair brushes when growing up. Minny's Gov. calling AP a "public embarrassment", how can you even thinking about carrying that franchise any longer??

Jerry knows AP is the missing piece to this puzzle.

Well, that explains some things I guess...

And for the record he is an embarrassment and so are people that make excuses for him. His entitled ass actually thinks HE is the victim. If he would have apologized and said he knew it was wrong he and he understands why a big deal was made of it and he will never do it again and left it at that he could have moved on. All he has done was act as if he did nothing wrong and others that called him out for committing a crime against a child did...I will be very disappointed if this team looks in his direction for many reasons...

This does seem like a jerrah move. I think it is evidence that he intends to try and trade for AP. Makes little sense and any trade would require ap to take a cut in pay from his current contract

"Just when I thought I was out Jerry pulls me back in" with apologies to Al Pacino in the Godfather 3

This smacks of Jerry and pushes a ton of money in to the future on Romo's cap hit just dumb IMHO
The cowboys are going to be in Cap hell due to restructuring Romo

Well Guys with Jerry in the building the Circus can come to town anyday.

Why am I not surprised :gaah:

I don't have a link, just something I heard the other day, they were saying if Tony Romo had a career ending injury, the cap hit accelerated would be over $40 million....

Would it matter what our cap situation would look like for a year or two if Romo had a career ending injury?

The ship sinks without him, rebuild and move on.

Seems like if that were the case, signing Murray would have been more of a sure bet. With the restructure of Romo and the money they saved on Carr, they could have kept Murray and signed Hardy. Mixed signals IMO

Not really.....Dallas was right up against the cap needing $$ for the rookies, McClain's deal and Hardy bonus clauses. Money has to be counted towards the cap as if all bonus will be paid. I think it's more Dallas buying in big time to the notion RB's are devalued in today's football. Murray was worth what they offered in their opinions and I can't argue that point. I think it's by committee more than ever before.

Probably right. It's a gutsy move no doubt, if our running game falls off and Murray kills it in Philly, Jerry will have more egg on his face than when he traded for Roy Williams.

I wouldn't go that far. At least the money we saved on Murray allowed us to sign Hardy/McClain. No good came from the Roy E. Williams trade.

This is definitely a strange move on Dallas' (Jerry or Stephen) part, and it makes me think that they are thinking one of two things, both of which I believe are bad ideas. One, they plan on keeping Carr, who has said he will not take a pay cut, and they need the money to sign their draft players also. Two, and I hate to say it, (GULP!!!) they are planning on making a move for AP.

Hope I'm wrong!

If AP is true to his word, that still wouldn't be enough to land AP.

One can hope jerrah learned from the Galloway and williams trade?. We should pass. I have given jay iyagi a 1st round grade. Running back search OVER. I have him ranked just behind gordon. I have given Gurley a 2nd round grade because of the injury problems.

I agree, this is a great year to get a quality runner in the draft. Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, Tevin Coleman, Jay Ajayi, even the little Abdullah kid out of Nebraska and Duke Johnson out of Miami.
