meanwhile - dealing with the aftershock in Louisville and the pleasure of learning that two 4 star commits are now looking elsewhere - AD Tom Jurich begins speed dialing from a short list of candidates which include among others;

Chad Morris, Pat Narduzzi and like a bad dream....Bobby Petrino.

I'll take Morris or Narduzzi in a flat second - and would suggest that my list is shorter that Jurich's.

Although the man can coach like no other - and surely has learned his lesson about ever leaving Louisville again - I would still vote NO on a second Petrino hire.

The other interesting element in this is Clint Hurtt. It appears that Strong cannot take him & his Show Clause baggage to Texas - which may suggest that he stays in Louisville along with our Florida recruiting connections.

We'll see. But we need to get the hire right & we have faith in Tom. Lord knows we've been through this enough times - I believe we'll get it right again.

Couldn't agree more but what I was saying about Watson--Texas would NEVER agree to taking on an Nebraksa reject--wouldn't look good. And quite frankly that puts Strong in a losing position. If he had good chemistry with his coaching staff at Louisiville (sp?), he can and shoud have the option of bringing along as many of those people as he wants. Unfortunately Strong was about #10 on Texas list and now will be expected to hire "quality" asistants--Texas has to throw that money somewhere:suds:
