man, miss a day and you miss a lot. Good times.

You're not kidding.

Vance nailed it.

Dalton is neither as bad as he was on Sunday, nor as good as some think he'll be (someday). He's a 15-20 QB who can really excel with the right guys around him, and a much needed run game.

Trip to Cleveland Sunday sucked balls for obvious reasons.

Despite the loss, the trip just re-affirmed my belief that unless the ticket is free, and I am in a visiting stadium I've never been to before, I will probably never go to another NFL game. They all blow. I'd rather be at home, watching Red-Zone, or at a bar with all the games on, and keeping track of my Fantasy.

What more does he need? I don't see any "excelling" going on. He's very average even when he has loads of talent around him. And no matter who else is added, it's not going to make him any less antsy nor be able to attempt and/or make throws that he still hasn't been able to do.

I tend to agree, this is his year to shine, he's improved gradually over his first 2 years, and more is expected of him, he's supposed to take the bull by the horns and lead, not flounder around now that he's been given even more weapons on offense. People bitch about Sanu and Jones, but they would probably be just fine given the opportunity with another team, even dope head Jerome Simpson seems to be proving that. Not every team in the league gets the luxury of a jones/white combo.

That's the thing.. I think you're still giving him too much credit. I think people forget how many good QBs there are starting in the league.

Guys who are without a doubt better
Aaron Rodgers
Peyton Manning
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
Russell Wilson
Andrew Luck
Ben Roethlisburger
Matt Ryan

Mid tier guys who are I would rather have, have more upside, or could excel with the Bengals roster
RGIII
Cam Newton
Colin Kaepernick
Eli Manning
Matthew Stafford
Ryan Tannehill
Joe Flacco
Jay Cutler
Josh Freeman/Mike Glennon
EJ Manual

Questionable
Tony Romo
Philip Rivers
Sam Bradford
Alex Smith
Bryan Hoyer
Geno Smith

Guys I wouldn't want
Christian Ponder
Michael Vick
Matt Schaub
Jake Locker
Terrelle Pryor
Blaine Gabbert

That's 6 guys I would take Dalton over, without a doubt. Most of the QBs in the league today, if you gave Cincy's roster, would be just as servicable as Dalton. I don't think for a second, he should be considered even a top 15-20 guy. 20 at best.

I'm not sure how Sam Bradford keeps his job, but that's probably because I don't watch a lot of Rams football games.

I wouldn't put Freeman/Glennon in the group you have them. Otherwise, I agree.

I'd also bump Romo and Rivers to one of the top two groups. Whenever Rivers has had talent he has delivered in big ways. Romo would excel in our offense - Save the few brain farts he always makes.
