What are you talking about. He actually was catching on well. As a 3rd WR, he had a 100 yard game early in the season and was poised for a good season until he injured his knee.

It is exactly why. Kaepernick could only throw to the outside and Crabtree was his first read out there. It is also the reason for the demise of Vernon Davis who works the middle of the field where Kaeprnick cannot find him or will not throw it because he has no ability to read what a defense is doing in there..
