I'm sure that the Rams have a long term deal in place with him and his agent. So, he isn't going anywhere after this year.

He's agreed not to hold out if he doesn't get an extension right away, but beyond that I don't know. Rams have some salaries to move around to free up the space necessary without handcuffing themselves, so the timing will be important.

It is really hard to negotiate a good deal when you are dealing from a position of weakness. The entire league knows we need help in our secondary and the will try to take advantage of us.

We will probably see something very close to the trade deadline as that is the only leverage we have.

Sad. Howie covets draft picks, but picks the wrong guys, or so it seems. I've been a Howie supporter for a long time, but when you look back he misses more than he hits. the exception is when he moves up for a high pick. The facts are that teams like the Ravens, Packers, Steelers, and Patriots, move all around the draft, and pick solid, if unspectacular players.
