2 firsts and a 4th, too risky for me

That’s been my feeling since I’ve seen this too.

Hes a phenomenal talent but I want an absolute perfect fit on and off the field at such a price.

He's a malcontent and a coach killer. I'd want nothing to do with this guy.

Id make a big trade during the upcoming draft and take Jeffrey Okudah. He's gonna be a real stud in this league. Book it!

Okudah may be available when the Eagles pick, if they go CB, which is likely. CB or DE/DT whoever is the BPA in the first. If they are determined to go CB, they'd be wise to take the best one available, since the position is deep in the next draft.

I'm shocked that you want an OSU player for the Eagles!

I like the guy as a player, but that's a ton to give up for any one player.

It was a very steep price. Not one I would pay unless I had a new contract in place. He strikes me as the kind of guy to go nuts if franchised.

bad move for the rams. would have been equally bad for the eagles, if not worse. people compare ramsey to the picks themselves. that's not what it's about. picks = depth. two young first rounders is more meaningful to this old ass eagles team than 1 player who would be getting paid soon (if he stayed.)

imo he's worth the price they paid "assuming" they can ink him to a long term deal (that's the key). Getting one of the top 3, if not "the" top CB in the league ... in his prime is worth those picks. Draft picks are crap shoots especially when you get past the top 10 or so picks ... and even then you have busts every year.

He is one of the tops for sure.....as long as his "back" isn't bothering him.

I have a feeling his back will somehow be just fine moving forward. The injury bit was to make sure he didn't get hurt prior to any move which would have affected things

Which makes him a problem player, not as bad as AB but too much for my liking at that price.

I'd gladly trade two picks which would likely end up being in the late teens to mid 20's in exchange for one of the, if not the best CB in the league who has around 4 Prime Years left in him. Look at our draft history in the past 20, 30, even 40 years ... how many players have we hit on in that time frame between picks 15 till the end of Rd 1 even remotely close to Ramsey's talent level? So what are the chances of our next two first rounders being better value than having Jalen Ramsey? What do we have to look forward to at the CB position moving forward? Our best Corner (who hasn't been good this year) Ronald Darby is an UFA in 2020. Syd Jones is a bust and Rasul Douglas has been exposed as not being able to cover anyone with speed; we're so laffable' at the position that some folks are actually looking forward to getting Jalen Mills back! We need new Corners anyways ... so why not have addressed the position with one of the best in the league? Instead we'd rather keep throwing darts in the draft when we could have had a sure thing at our biggest need position ...

Excellent argument Rey, except that Ramsey probably 6-8 very good years left, barring injuries.

Yes, it is "no-brainer" that Howie should have offered 2 1sts + a 3rd, to beat the Rams offer. I hope that our pick will be a little higher than late teens to mid 20's. the NFL isn't real good this year, so if our offense gets in gear, we can still wind up in the late 20's, IMO.

Time is getting short. If DJAX doesn't come back fully healthy VERY soon, they YES, I would sign AB for a one year rental. We need a reliable stud receiver.

We really only have had 2 bad picks in the past 10 years. Watkinsa and Marcus Smith were really bad picks. Agholor you can flip a coin on but he did have good year in our Super Bowl run.

I just don't like to leverage the future to a short term fix. I hope Doug puts pressure on Schwartz to make some changes to his game plan to take advantage of the talent he has now. I think you would be surprised how much better they would look.

2009 - Maclin
2010 - Brandon Graham
2011 - Danny Watkins
2012 - Fletcher Cox
2013 - Lane Johnson
2014 - Marcus Smith
2015 - Nelson Agholor
2016 - Carson Wentz
2017 - Derek Barnett
2018 - Traded ot Baltimore
2019 - Andre Dillard

Our top drafted players have been top 15 picks ... the picks we would have traded for Ramsey would have been late teens at the earliest and even more likely in the 20's. Our Draft history with picks in that range has not been anything of significance in the past 40 years. Lito Sheppard comes to mind ... am I missing anyone else of Pro Bowl caliber in that area of the draft?

we wouldn't have been trading just one first rounder, so those picks wouldn't need to match ramsey's talent. they would be cheaper, younger and serve as depth.

fans are just ignoring how beat down this team is. i don't get it. we trying for another "dream team?"
