The refs fucked over both teams in that game. They called back a TD for the Ravens on a phantom holding call.

Exactly, the refs in that game had zero bearing on the playoffs. The Ravens defense was great and deserve to be there. Also, the Ref's suck every game you can't blame them for anything, especially for the Steelers or even the Browns. Bad coaching (all season Steelers, early season Browns), horrible kicking, some very stupid play calls and losing to the Raiders. Neither team can excuse that last fact.

The bell situation was a lose/lose. Steelers stuck to their principles (bell would have signed tag if the Steelers had agreed not to franchise him again) and it cost them both.

Nobody won... everyone lost.

How is it months later and you still have no idea what I meant. He has the mileage of a RB 1 year younger because he sat out a year.

Bell has 1,581 touches his entire NFL career. You divide that by the number of years he played for Pitt (5) and you get 316 per year. However since he sat out this year his actual average is 263. He has one less year of wear and tear on his body and he’s not recovering from an injury so next year when he plays he’s a lot fresher than if his body put up with another 316 touches this year.

Overall, Browns fans have to be excited. Finished over .500 in the division for the first time in over a decade.

Just have to solve the Steelers, which I'm thinking should happen next year in the form of at least a split

Appreciated and a bit surprised that we pulled it off....When we were like 2 1/2 games back I didn't think it was feasible, and then last nite when Pitts won, I told my wife, that's what good teams do in important games, find a way to win....
And all the Browns needed was a FG to win, the D came up big for us....

I do agree, that Baker is the real deal and the team has reason to feel good about the future at this point....But let's see what the F.O. does going forward before we order the t-shirts and hats....

Hardly stupid. We lost by two and the officials literally took a TD from us due to their own ineptitude. When your team leads the NFL in apology letters from the league due to referee fuck-ups, you get a little salty, especially when it costs you a win.

That said, I'm extremely optimistic. Not ordering any shirts or hats, but this is the best shape the team has been in since 1999, no doubt. Dorsey now has 4 straight years drafting a Pro Bowler, so here's hoping for another strong rookie class.
