People are just looking for a story, and these players need to be cool.
They Need to realize they are under the microscope.
I'm happy being a nobody that can do shit that's not going to end up on the news.

....Not sure how to feel about those comments on Archer.

The article sorta brings out my pet peeve about Haley in general...lacks creativity.

A "role" is what he needs to follow up on...imo that means it shouldn't matter what Bell is doing...he needs to have his touches reduced anyway. It really doesn't take a brain scientist to figure out that Archer probably needs 10 to 15 snaps to get 5 or 6 touches and it not be apparent that he's getting the ball...put him out there with Bell on 1st dwn they will probably get an automatic nickel adjustment, if so...run it...if LB stays in the gm...get him in the slot...in space...they were so telegraphed with him that it wasn't too hard to defend the play.

I'm not a coach, but do you get my drift? Archer looks really bad to us as fans and maybe he hadn't earned a pkg (role) yet...idk...but the way they used him LY would probably yields similar results if they tried that again. Not all of that was on Archer.

Definitely. We talked about exactly that during the season IIRC. I'm hoping that Haley plans for this, or else like you said, we will see the same results. And they will have set the kid up for failure from day 1. I'd be more upset with the coaches than Colbert since they are the ones that need to figure out how to use him.

As for his ST role... Let's hope another offseason will shed more light on it. If he gets beat out in camp/preseason for the role, then he'll have a very hard time making the final 53. Without that skill set there just no possible way to justify having him on the roster now that D-Williams is on-board. Bell, D-Will, Harris & W. Johnson would be plenty!
