Wouldn't hurt... Would come at a cheaper cost than McPhee, and definitely cheaper than going after Justin Houston. Also at 7.5 sacks he already matches the average-yet-still-paid-$9.7-million-Worilds. lol

Don't know much about the kid, but looks good on paper. Nothing wrong with losing snaps to the likes of Kruger & Mingo. I could easily be on board with this.

I was hoping that Troy would announce his retirement before it came to this... Really didn't want these sort of reports to surface that would "taint" his exit. He's a HOFer, and there's no shame in hanging it up at this point in his career.

I don't get Troy sometimes. Reports were surfacing the last couple offseasons about him contemplating retirement, straight from his own mouth. Not sure why he is dragging his feet now. Lebeau's exit should have easily sealed the deal for Poly to announce his retirement.

I think the best thing Troy has going for him is that everyone has to plan for him either way. But with the big drop in production out of him last year it really has to make you wonder.... He used to be a game breaker and now he just blends in with our mediocre secondary.... Friggin shame!!!!

Not just "blends in"... He hangs our FS out to dry with his gambling. Not really Troy's fault... well kinda. He should know that Ryan Clark isn't back there anymore saving his ass. lol. But even in his prime Troy was never really that great in coverage, at least not man-to-man coverage.

The thing that scares me the most is how slow he has gotten. He's lost more than just a few steps. He does an excellent job of covering that up with his high football IQ, but sometimes not even that saves him from looking bad. Aside from that, he still hits hard and plays with the physicality of a Steeler.

Sheard...I would welcome this move...clearly we need another guy and his local tie and price seem like a good fit.

Troy...word I've heard is the resigning LY was put in place to basically give him the money he was due on his previous contract...it would be nice if he just retired, but either way I think it's time to move on from this former great player.

Blount...he's a 2nd tier RB and that's all he's ever been...planned exit...maybe...he had to know there would be a response when you walk off the field before a game is over not injured.

I apologized to a few people on the NFL General because I got 'riled up' last night over everyone talkin about how Bettis doesn't deserve to be enshrined.
