He is getting used and playing well. Rookie WRs used to take 3 years. C'mon now.

What is really going to be interesting is when we get Bailey and Austin on the field at the same time. I mean, if they made Geno Smith look good then the sky is the limit

I agree Clayton. I think Bailey's catching everything has influenced and possibly threatened the other receivers to catch the passes thrown their way. I don't think we had one dropped pass today.

Some sort of loyalty. But we won so I guess it's part of developing these young players.

I'm going to say it. Stedman Bailey has been this good all along. He should have been playing right away. Football politics do exist...

I agree Ramcub. Freakin' Shottenheimer ought be beaten within an inch of his miserable existence for playing politics with this guy when he is far superior to anybody we have except maybe Pettis. He sure as hell is way ahead of Quick and Givens.

Fisher and company took their time using Austin at first, too. Bailey should have teamed with Austin early on also. The coaching decisions probably cost the Rams a shot at the playoffs this season.

Retro - ksu - Silas - It is a freak'in shame to say the least. I posted the "WR Strategy" thread at the beginning of the season. Basically, it was a way of using all of our wide receivers - Givens, Austin, and Bailey to stretch the field utilizing their speed between the 20 yard lines and Pettis and Quick to convert 3rd downs and touchdowns utilizing their size and strength for short yardage and red zone passes.

Coaches, like other people, are their own worst enemies. It makes you wonder.
