In my opinion Aaron Harang has been among the biggest surprises in the first month of the season. Never would have expected him to pitch nearly as effectively as he has so far.

Although he is now listed as 100% owned, he is unowned in the espn league that I play in, so I am considering picking him up. Just looked at his history against the Marlins, a team that has scored a lot of runs this year, though not so much in previous seasons, the seasons in which Harang allowed Marlins hitters to post a slash line of .389/.417/.567.

Just curious what you all think about the prospect of starting Harang at Miami tonight against Nate Eovaldi and the Marlins.

TRAP GAME... Gibson, and perez fell for those trap games... Lets see if Harang comes out well...

You think Harang gets lit up tonight? I definitely think that is likely. In fact, I'm also considering picking up Eovaldi to start instead of Harang.

As weird as it is to say, this is a big game for Harang... He is getting recognition again, and he is playing vs a team that he is expected to dominate... games like this will make or break his fantasy value!!!

I agree that it's a big game for him, both in terms of his value as real pitcher and as a fantasy pitcher. LOL Given his history as against the Marlins hitters, shutting them down tonight would go a long way toward convincing me that Harang's hot start just might hold up the rest of the season.

Braves aren't swinging the bats very well, Marlins are... I'd be inclined to go with Eovaldi.

That's what I decided to do. Might try to grab Harang after the game tonight, depending on how things go.

Yes, but i would be careful with eovaldi, only because what is the chances of the Braves bats sucking 2 games in a row?? Yes Fernandez is the real deal, but can eovaldi hold them off... Also problem with the Braves offense is that they hit HRs, so even if you do do well against them, you may still let up 4+ runs... And that's what i expect of eovaldi...

That's certainly possible, but he did shut them out in six innings pitched at Atlanta last week. Eovaldi's ERA is 3.28 and the Braves are 28th in MLB in runs scored. Again, not saying that Eovaldi won't give up 4+ runs, but there is reason to expect otherwise.

Eovaldi is a better pitcher. Harang is hot, Eovaldi is good. Check his matchups next week too. He has the Padres and Mets.
