Why?

Mando gets about 10 hrs a year. What can doing a movie in that story do for anything?

There is no difference between movies and shows today. Doing a movie in the same realm of an on going show is completely pointless from a story-telling POV.

It's not confirmed, but it kinda seems like this is gonna take the place of Season 4 of The Mandalorian. Practically, it doesn't seem possible to film both.

They released a trailer at Celebration tonight but if you want to see it, you need to search Twitter for fan footage. Be quick cuz they keep getting taken down.

Official release date is May 22 2026. It looks great.
