Just got home from seeing this and it was outstanding. The hype was well worth it in my opinion. I watched in 3D and tomorrow I'll see it regular. JJ Abrams nailed this spot on.

The record right now is Jurassic World at $208,806,270.

Some say it could top $500,000,000. I say it doubles Jurassic world at least?
Easily it will more than double. I'm going to see it again tomorrow. I watched it in 3D tonight. It was amazing.

Loved it! Loved the opening with how they did the Star Destroyer. Love the overall story line (yes, it seems like we have seen this before but I think the next one will diverge from it though). Loved the real humor in it, the actors did a real good job (spec Rey and Finn), loved the obvious and subtle "tip of the hat" to the past.

Never been in a theater with real fans. Them laughing and gasps was FANtastic.

I need to see it several more times. Too many things going on.....still processing it.

Of all the times we heard Han say "I have a bad feeling about this!" and he thought THAT was a good idea? :L

Saw it. Thought it was good; not great nor bad but just good. Lots of similarities and references to past movies which was awesome but too many unanswered questions in my mind. Plus, when the F did Rey and Finn learn how to wield a light saber? Like, that came out of no where! And they were able to go toe to toe with Kylo Ren? Get real. Just stuff like that.

FINALLY! Waited the entire movie to Luke and he's on for a whole 10 seconds with no dialogue? it was kind of an awakard scene if you ask me.

Luke looked like he's been on a drinking rampage for 12 days or something. Dude look like he belongs in AA.

Rey I can forgive, since she's supposedly strong with The Force (as inconsistent as it is with Luke who had to train for a while first), but Finn? There's no indication at this point that he's got any Jedi in him. Kinda makes Ren look weak for not destroying him in a matter of seconds.

Any chance Rey is a Skywalker? Luke's daughter? Leia's but not Han's?

Lol I was thinking the same thing. Finn shouldn't have lasted more than one swing hahaha.

I really didn't care for the Star Killer base. Way too similar to past episodes. Hey! A big bad Death Star! Let's go blow it up. They could have came up with a better script if you ask me. But....I thought it was a good beginning movie to say the least. Thank god for the minimal use of CGI this time and more nastaligic robots and costumes; that was way cool. Also, I'm surprised they showed as much of Snoke already like they did. Can't wait to learn, ore about him.

My best guess is Rey is Luke's kin but I have no idea

It was good and worth losing sleep over. lots of silly things but in a nerdy way thats not a big deal. More important to see it with good sound than 3d

I think it'll make around $220M opening weekend.

To those of you guessing $400-$500M, I just don't think that's possible considering the actual number of screens and hours in a day over the same 4 day stretch any other film gets.

What's interesting is that the previous record for opening weekend in December was $84.6M for the first Hobbit film. Star Wars is going to obliterate that.

I wasn't sure if it would top $400-500M but read a few articles saying it possibly could. Figured it would at least top Jurassic Fart.

That was my biggest problem. Her suddenly using the force when she didn't even know what it was. We do know she is a fighter but maybe Kylo isn't as strong as we think. Still, didn't like that.

Had a feeling about Luke holding out to the end somewhere in the movie. Thanks for the rating, umm, wow.

Hopefully, the New Order will stop building bases with easily penetrable flaws.
