Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Since we get Paramount+ for free, I have been meaning to watch the "new" ST series. Picard, Discovery, Strange New Worlds, etc. This thread has been helpful.

Expect garbage from Disco. I kept watching it HOPING it would improve.

Picard isn’t great, but it is OK. Worth a watch.

SNW is traditional Trek. Better than Enterprise, MAYBE better than Voyager. Very comparable to TOS. Not in the same class as TNG or DS9.

Season 3 was fine until the last few episodes. Where it just became a let’s bring the old guys back and make them heroes again.

I went in to S3 fully expecting little more than a final final season of TNG and that it wouldn’t be much more than pure fan service.

I got what I expected, so I was not disappointed.

as to strange worlds. I enjoyed season one. I am very behind in season 2. I think I have seen three of 4 episodes.

My biggest complaint so far is that the big twist at the end of season one was to court Marshall Rebecca romaine. And it seemed like they resolved that so quick and painlessly.

don,t think ds9 got good until wharf joined the cast,and andrew robinson the kardashian man.tng had data and picard which made it good and que.

Star Trek: The Musical

To be fair, I am just starting this episode, but OMG, it is painfully bad. So pretentious.

Yup.

Garbage.

Too bad. The Lower Decks crossover was a very good episode. Sad to see that followed up with a traditionally shark-jumping trope like this.

Personally I quite enjoyed it. I can see how it's not for everyone, but as someone who goes to Broadway musicals quite a bit, this was fun

It was an ep that took a lot of guts to make. Respect for the daring it took to even try this.

In a town full of high school drama nerds who love the idea of randomly breaking out in song and dancing down the halls twirling an umbrella.

I'm watching Discovery episode 1 right now. Just 20 minutes in so I can't say whether I like it or.not.The going into space in a spacesuit is cool.

While it's a prequel to the OG star trek. Its looks pretty damn dope visually.
