Kane thought it was Crawford too. You know what's honestly amazing/overlooked? Crawford's numbers are on par with Rask. Crawford's GAA: 1.84 SV%: .932 Rask's GAA: 1.88 SV%: .940

If the Bruins had won, Rask is pretty much a lock for Conn Smythe. I think Crawford's are overlooked because of the offense the Hawks put up. BIG props to Crawford. Never was confident in his game.

Agreed it should have been Crawford. BTW, Corey Crawford had THE BEST goals against average and save percentage for ANY Blackhawk's goalie in the playoffs. Lots of years. Lots of great goalies. Great achievement.

Scary stuff - Hoping it's just precautionary.

That shows me he had internal damage of some sort. More than broken ribs and a separated shoulder. There's nothing, outside of painkillers, a hospital will do for that.

@DJ_Bean: Peter talking now. Bergeron also had a small hole in his lung. #Bruins

:L I don't care what the stakes are, YOU DON'T LET A PLAYER WITH A HOLE IN HIS LUNG PLAY A GAME.

Unless he scores the Cup winning goal and the team doesn't give a shit about the health of their players.

I think I can safely say that the Bruins organization would not have allowed Patrice on the ice had that been known. The medical staff had to have said ok to him playing.

I'm sure the puncture happened secondary to the broken ribs. That's the major risk associated with playing with fx. Also, he had a nerve block. I have major, major, major morality issues with doing that. They do it in major league sports all the time...but what it really equals is not feeling if you're pushing yourself or making it worse. Which he did. It's a sport. The job of medical staff is to make the choice. The issue in the pros is that they let players/coaches make medical decisions they aren't capable of making.
