I heard driving in on the radio this morning that a guy has a betting slip for $5000 for the Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup when they were at 500-to-1 (i.e. a potential 2.5 million dollar payout). The casino is willing to buy back the ticket and give him a cool 1 million dollars. The guy has declined the offer.

/Now that's gambling.

/Now that's sickness.

I have a feeling that this person is likely not hurtin' for cash if they are willing to put 5 grand down before the season started on Vegas.

/Probably like losing a $50 bet to you or me, a minor annoyance. That said, to walk away from a guaranteed 1 million, I mean, even if you are loaded, you could still have a lot of fun with that windfall.

Man, 20 years ago, I was awaiting the birth of my first daughter. Where did that 20 years go?

Yep I was telling my wife who I'd just met 20 years ago when the Caps got stomped.... 3 sons later 18-15 and 8 how much life has changed since Bondra Oates and Kolzig got the Caps this far.its been too long.

So, there is a Trump hotel in both of the respective cities in the SCF - I don't know what it means, but it can't be good.

I have a hard time believing that anyone else will ever wear #8 for the Caps once the caveman retires. See if he'd be open to wearing the #88.
