The only celebs I've seen posting about it were legitimately hockey fans. Milano, Colin Hanks, Wil Wheaton, etc. Colin Hanks called ESPN's coverage of hockey pathetic.

Tell me I'm not the only one that had to google to find out who Colin Hanks is? I suspected he was Tom Hanks' son, but aside from that, I didn't know anything about him.

Man, theses two teams are fun to watch. Sorry to break it to Devils fans, but I think this shit is over.

It's ok sly not giving up hope until its completely over but I think our team had the harder path to the finals and its starting to show in our forwards

The Devils have played a full series worth of games more than the Kings...I'm thinking they're starting to run out of gas especially late in games.

Not a Dexter fan I take it? He was the bad guy on this past (and def the worst) season of Dexter.

Two of those series against division rivals that were complete wars .I also think they are still nursing some injuries from those series.Wouldn't be surprised to see lineup changes would be disappointed if I don't.It's visible some forwards are still struggling with pain

Not trying to discredit the Devils path but the Kings played the 1,2 and 3 seeds to get to the finals. That included the Presidents trophy winner and Stanley cup runner up last year. Lastly, they started all series on the road. I am not sure how that is easy.

I really would like to see the Kings win mainly for two guys, Darryl Sutter and Willie Mitchell.

Nothing against the kings bot we also beat a 1 and 3 seed.I would call phoenix and florida a wash however philly was a much better team than st louis with an injured halak. It was an Atlantic division rivalry series and much more physical series. Our 1 seed was played in the ECF on a bigger stage against a very bitter rival.Devils Rags is all out war and we took on some injuries in what was a brutal series. It's not always about the seeds your playing several things change that.To be honest I'm surprised the devils have managed to stay in these past few games after the path they took either way I'm proud of this team

NJ also had the luxury of having to travel to Philly and NY. So much for accumulating FF miles.

Do the previous series really matter? How many times is the excuse for teams that haven't played as many games that they're "not hardened enough...too much time off" and when a team has played too many "they've run out of gas"...then those excuses change depending on the series. Once the Final is over you can look at the big picture, but it's impact on the current series could be argued in either direction.

CBC threw a graphic up on the Kings forwards and collectively they are a big beefy bunch. The kicker is that these big boys can skate as well. After a while, it's going to wear the other team down, it doesn't matter who you are.

I think that post by dash is pretty spot on. It's not an excuse, it's just a fact. Give Sutter credit for keeping the team focused and prepared with all the time off they've had between series, and in the playoffs in general. They've used the time off to their advantage, and the kings players have far less bumps and bruises. NJ should thank the hockey gods their 2nd and 3rd round games were vs Philly and NY. They could have driven their cars to every away game, lol. It's the reason they can keep up with a well rested Kings team so fatigue shouldn't be as big a factor as it could be.

They sure did. It just goes to show you don't have to be the "best" team to win it all, just the team playing the best when it counts. They have a top goalie who has been bringing his "A" game virtually every game and has been a BIG reason why they've only had to play 14 games out of a possible 21.

I had to as well, Dash... good resume, but the only thing I've seen that he was in was the movie Orange County (hilarious flick)

Kings have won nothing yet except a lower draft pick.
That being said i am much happier being up 2 than down 2.
Both games could have gone either way. Hopefully the Kings will do better when they can change last
