When I watched live, I thought he dove too late but he timed it perfectly. Too bad for him he didn't push the net off.

I was thinking the same thing although he was likely thinking he was going to get a delay of game penalty if he pushes the net off.

These GMs firing water bottles into the wall of the press box is fine, but if you really want to make a point you fire that out into the crowd or even onto the ice if you got the skills to do so. Or if you’ve really had it you fire a cup of coffee into the crowd (preferably not at your home arena though).

They probably would have found a way to award the goal, but Edmonton didn't technically have possession of the puck.

The refs would have figured a way. Let see they will probably state the closest player was an Oiler and they were skating towards the puck after Tkachuk saved it.
