My heart says Oilers. I cant root against a team with Ekholm, Hyman and Brown. Yes, even if it means indirectly supporting the rest of the roster.

My head says Florida. Kane is the X factor though. He will do something incredibly stupid, I just dont know if (a) he gets a Kadri-esque suspension or (b) he takes out Barkov and Bob.

I think the Stars showed the Oilers way too much respect and what I mean by respect is they didn't get in the Oilers grills with face washes, pushing and shoving in scrums etc. The Panthers don't mind mucking things up and getting greasy, they know Draisaitl has a short fuse and even McDavid will retaliate with enough provocation. Make the Oilers scratch and claw for every inch of ice out there.

Yeah, you have to be able to walk that line which I think the Panthers are able to do. I guess what I'm saying is if you're going to take a penalty against the Oilers, make it worth your while.

the only other time I ever rooted for the Panthers was in 1995 to beat colorado. that didnt go so well. but I am rooting for them again.. but I believe they have already lost this series. gotta get McDavid that cup

In the early games in the Stars series you saw how mad McDavid was getting just when people had the nerve to play defense or backcheck against him. The Panthers' system should lend itself to taking away space. I mean Panarin, Zibenijad, Kreider, etc had a really rough series and the whole Panthers team made that happen.

Getting a sniff of Tkachuk or Bennett's gloves every whistle will have an effect.
