my daughter was over at her friends house last night ... her friends house backs on to the house of another family we know through hockey that is a mess of a family (the mom is the one who choked a kid on an opposing team in house this season and got banned from all Burnaby arenas lol). To no surprise these 2 families dont get along ... and my daughters frends family put up a 10 foot fence along their property line so they dont have to see them lol

Anyways after the Coil won ... the kid of the mom choker went on his deck and screamed "lets fuckin go Oilers" ... my daughters friends dad screamed back at him "Fuck you you bandwaggoner" and then he went on to curse how anyone would cheer for edmonton or any other team in Canada.

When my daughter got home she told me this and said "you would get along real well with Katia's dad"

A teacher at Mrs 43's school (and her husband) is originally from a small town in AB. She is still somewhat of an Oilers fan, after fully adopting the Blue Jackets. Also turns out that the school secretary was originally from Vegas, so last round there was a lot of back and forth such as a complete banning of the color Orange in the school office (For example this teacher was wearing an orange shirt and had to talk to the Principal and the secretary made the Principal meet her in the hallway.) and every memo going to a certain grade level being printed with a Golden Knights logo. When the Oil won, a McDavid poster showed up with a post-it note "HA!" speech bubble in the hallway facing the secretary's desk.

Mrs 43 said that the other day someone, and she SWEARS it wasn't her, put a "No diving" sign on that teacher's mailbox. They were at the end of year happy hour last night and this teacher was glued to the game at the bar.

Today is the last day of school and Mrs 43 is wearing my Bobrovsky jersey. She didn't have time to make a papier-mache Panther head.
