It was just a freak accident that unfortunately happened to a great player. What a loss to the Bolts, the NHL & all of their fans. The B's did absolutely nothing wrong. Both sides played a good, clean game, the B's just played better again!

Yet you have John Scott running around

I am sure Hamilton really made a huge effort to injure Stamkos. Go look at the video.

DOES NO ONE UNDERSTAND SARCASM? Clearly no one "understands" IPW here. Geez.

*clears throat*

This is basically what I thought when I saw the video. I was 99% sure the tibia was a goner (can see the lower leg shift once it hits), just hopeful for no tendon damage really. With the surgery part added in, he has a long road ahead, but his season certainly isn't over. Barring complications I'd say he could be back in late February early March. That's being conservative too.

The strain would be on the ACL area which is not padded.

And if the leg had snapped he wouldn't have grabbed the area the way he did.

My own experience is with broken arms, not legs, but that doesn't make much difference. I know more
about fractures than I wish I did.

Also, padding has nothing to do with majority of ACL injuries. Most in athletics are deemed "non-contact" injuries. Plant and twist type injuries, which is honestly why there's not a lot of them in hockey. That hyperflexion that occurred would be more aligned with an injury to the quadriceps tendon because of some overstretching. Just a "the more you know" moment. :)

Always obsessed with all things Buffalo, even though they have nothing to do with this.

And the only reason why the Sabres even have Scott, is because of teams just like the Bruins. Which brings us full circle now.

Just went hard into the goal post and was in a a lot of pain. Took off on a stretcher.

That sucks cause he is such a good player

Pix,

My first post.

I love watching Stamkos cause he is a beast hockey player.

Then IPW throws out "another player injured while playing Boston" bullshit.

How is that sarcasm

Speedy recovery to Stamkos. The league will miss him while he's gone, except for goalies of course. Goalies are probably very happy right now.

You can't blame Hamilton or the Bruins as a team for what happened today. That is about as freak an injury as you will see....If that douchebag Marchand had been the one involved, then you may have a case.
