Best guess (and not my original theory, but makes sense) is that AZ tried to trade Pollack first, they saw the repaired arm, and said no thanks, which lead Stewart to overpay for Miller. It's no secret that he got fleeced, and it's going to hurt for a while. Just have to hope Shelby figures things out, and doesn't go all Rick Ankiel on us.

It sure looks like Stewart got fleeced so far but this is more on the players than him. I applaud him for signing Greinke. Nobody in their right mind would have seen the garbage pile that he has become on the mound as soon as he put on a Dbacks uniform.

I think the Miller trade is more on Stewart. That just looked bad even if Miller pitched okay, but since he's been utterly worthless, it looks even worse.

On the flip side, yeah...Stewart is looking like a genius in acquiring Segura.

Segura always had the talent, I just think he hated Wisconsin.

nice to see Owings hitting and up to .285 I still have high hopes for him, he is only 24 and simply a much better hitter than Ahmed will ever be, and could easily play SS just as good

This team is weird. It's hard to explain. They can play with anyone. Once Goldy gets flowing, hard to do walking as much as he has, and the rotation settles down, this team could be very good.

When do we try to line up Greinke to pitch more on the road than at home?

I still cannot believe this is the way Zack Greinke is pitching. The last time Greinke gave up more than 5 earned runs in any start was in 2012. He has already given up 7 earned runs twice in his first month with the Diamondbacks. And the last time he gave up 7 earned runs prior to this season was AGAINST ARIZONA at Chase Field on May 26, 2012. What the hell is going on!!! Ugh this is really not good.

It is amazing the Diamondbacks are over .500 considering how bad the starting rotation has been. The team is actually in second place in the West right now and has one of the better records in the National League. Unreal.
