I was checking Netflix tonight to find something to watch and this looked interesting. It's a dubbed Korean series about a bunch of people who get recruited to play games to get out of their crippling debt.

Sort of Hunger Games/Battle Royale with much better themes.

2 episodes in and I really like it so far.

I can never do it ...It just sounds so fake. I need to hear the real actors voices. I don't care what language it is.
After 5 minutes you forget you are reading sub titles.

This show's dubs are done very well and you don't want to look at the words when the blood, brains & guts splatter.

I didnt like the end... even though it was the obvious route, and built up for a season 2... But was hoping he would just go on the plane and go to his daughter... let her live well... i guess it was also necessary because i dont think they explained the WHY and HOW of the squid games to well...

This show's dubs are done very well and you don't want to look at the words when the blood, brains & guts splatter.

I focused on it a little during the 1st episode but it isn’t even noticeable. Definitely not the old out-of-sync stuff of my youth.

Dubbing is getting really good recently. I watched a Nordic show a while back on Netflix called Ragnarok. It is a dubbed show, but after about a half ep, you don’t even notice anymore.

Some yes but they recycle a lot of the voice actors and after the 5th show with the same voices it gets weird.

I crashed last night in the middle of episode 2. Too soon to see what sort of legs the premise has, but him reporting his experience at the police station was hilarious.

I usually have a hard time watching dubbed movies. I got into this one pretty quick. Watched it over a couple of weekends. Best Netflix series I’ve seen in a while

I usually hate watching dubbed shows, too. But they did a really good job with it as to I barley even noticed it after the first couple episodes.

Great series, but a few open ends.

Great show. I thought it peaked around episodes 6 & 7. The ending was decent but could have been better if they weren't setting it up for another season. I think it's one of those shows where future seasons are inevitable due to its popularity but can't possibly be as good as the 1st now that most of the mystery and intrigue are gone. Reminds me of Westworld in that sense.

But if they were planning a 2nd season, they really should have kept more characters from the main cast alive instead of just #456 and the Front Man. The intro to the series shows that Squid Game is a team game so that's what I thought they were building towards which would have allowed more characters to appear in the next season. Maybe his old friend or even the Pakistan becomes the new Front Man in future seasons or something. Also I think the cop should have lived if there is going to be another season.

Honestly that is the brilliance of the show is that if you didn’t go into it knowing it was dubbed you wouldn’t notice other than saying maybe the tv is off a split second with sound.
