I hope she has a mustache and is a dyke.
She has no mustache, but has a million dollar smile.
She tore an ACL last year and interned with the spurs last year. Alot of the footage has tony parker whispering in her ear while she was taking a free throw. The team knows her, its not gonna be that big of a deal for them since she was around so much anyway.
Plus, according to Pop, she has a very good basketball mind. I'd tend to trust Pop's judgment on that. End of the day, gender doesn't matter if you know your stuff.
The only reason why a female assistant might not work is if the players don't respect her, and I really can't see that being an issue in San Antonio with the group of professionals that they have.
The women's game is more fundamentally sound than the men's game, so I have no doubt that Hammond knows her stuff as well or better than many assistants in the league.
They did this bc the attention is not on them right now , still don't think it changes . Nobody cares and it really isn't a good move.
But good for her.
Personally, if I were a LeBron fan, the last thing in the world I would ever do is accuse someone else of doing things just for the sake of attention.
But that's just me.

All jokes aside, I can't think of a time that the Spurs did something purely for attention.
