If this were next year then sure. It’s not a big loss but who is going to take his AB’s? I don’t want Dylan Moore starting any games at all unless it is to spell JP or Julio. I guess maybe Moore takes those AB’s and Taylor makes the squad. Everyone is talking about Anderson and a couple other guys but they aren’t on the 40 man, and the 40 man full of pitchers is going to be useful in April if Brash is out.

I only mention next because Young or Ford should be ready. I still think Polanco needs to move to 3B. Move Rojas to 2B because they have Bliss waiting in the wings plus possibly Young this year. Bliss nor Young can play 3B.

I'll just consider 3B a void this season unless in 2 months time it's so horribly bad they have no choice but to bring up someone.

Had he negotiated in good faith he might’ve got something similar to what Evan White got

which I’m pretty sure was a lot more than $9 million. I think Evan White got close to 20 million.

I’ll continue to root for him just because of A. he’s an ex- mariner and B. he’s a young kid chasing a dream and playing a game he loves, trying to scratch out a good living at it

Who didn’t in good faith? Kelenic and Gilbert both did what the union wanted them to do. Not sure if anyone recalls but the MLBPA was pissed off at White signing that contract.

I’m assuming it was north of Whites cause Gilbert was offered $25. I totally under White wanting to accept it. But Gilbert is going to make way more than his contract offered and if Kelenic is just average for the next two season he will make more. That’s the point of those contracts, you give them more upfront money to buy out FA years where they will make significantly less money than they could being on the open market.

Dippy would trade a lights out Logan Gilbert for some top prospect that will flame out the Mariner way.
If by some miracle the rotation is top 5, Scotty will use load management and pull them after 5 just to watch the bullpen blow it again and again and again.

This is the first year I won’t have roots sports. Got rid of Xfinity when the Seahawks weren’t on in the fall. Went to YouTube TV and won’t go back. Not gonna waste my money on Xfinity just to get root sports anymore because the owners are just not committed to winning

This is what I truly don’t get. The ownership isn’t full of morons, they made their money. But they run the franchise like they have never made money in their life. They OWN their own network. They don’t spend on FA but at the same time won’t showcase their top prospects who by all accounts are having a good spring.
