Spring training is still a week away for the Giants but I thought I'd start a new thread as the Giants just released a list of prospects officially invited to spring training:

Apparently, Melvin Adon and Raffi Vizcaino are not going to participate in big league camp as their names are no longer listed among the non-roster invitees. Jay Jackson, Arismendy Alcantara and Luis Alexander Basabe are now listed though.
Assuming no further players get dfa'd from the McGee and Sanchez signings, there are 40 pitchers, 6 catchers, 11 infielders and 14 outfielders at the start of camp.
The average age of the player in camp is 27.4 years old.
The age with the most players is 27 (surprise!) - Anthony Banda, Caleb Baragar, Tyler Beede, Tyler Cyr, Rico Garcia, Jason Vosler, Steven Duggar, Joe McCarthy and LaMonte Wade.
Only 22 of the 71 players will be age 30 or older.
The two oldest players are Johnny Cueto and Evan Longoria (both 35) and the younges player is Marco Luciano (19).

@calsnowskier - Here's an update on Will Clark's number retirement:
"• In an interview with radio station KNBR on Saturday morning, Giants executive vice president of business operations Mario Alioto revealed that the club likely will delay Will Clark’s jersey number retirement ceremony until the 2022 season.
"We talked to Will the other day, and most likely, we're probably going to wait until 2022,” Alioto said. “It's probably the best time to retire his number, actually, in 2022. With all of the uncertainty right now with respect to fans, when he gets honored we want to make sure we have an absolutely full house with 100 percent capacity.""

Apparently, Adon and Vizcaino are dealing with injuries. IIRC Adon is a labrum tear?

Looks like we won't be seeing Adon pitch this year . . . at any level. Amazing how quickly a promising career can crumble.
I checked into it. Adon is "apparently injured" after throwing consistently 99-102 in the DWL. It happened at the end of November. The torn labrum was Canario, not Adon.

Fingers crossed he's going to be ok.

Can we trade the injury onto Adon instead of Canario?

I saw that he was injured in the DWL but the article was just after the game and so they didn't know the extent of the injury.
