Cool, I'll be there. What was the final decision on the return yardage scoring?

I lowered it too .5 per yard, see how it looks, I'm still willing to make changes for the scoring until Wednesday.

Gotcha. I looked over the new projections and my personal preference is still to take it down to 0.1 points per yard.

My main issue would be with return specialists since with the current scoring system they're basically guaranteed 10 points or so anytime they take a ball out of the end zone on a kick off( assuming they can get it back to the 20). For example ESPN is calculating that the top 5 fantasy WRs last year would have been Devin Hester, Jarvis Landry, Jacoby Jones, Dwayne Harris, and Andre Roberts. All return men who saw very little action in the passing game.

Like I've said though, I'm down with whatever scoring system the majority want.

Love my team, but haven't checked out other teams yet. Great draft, went quick.

I got Peterson, McCoy and Charles with decent QBs and WRs.

Dang that is one heck of a RB corp, plus you got Ivory. Hopkins is a good WR also. Suddenly my team doesn't look as good.

Yeah 0.5 is way too high. As an example, that game against San Diego a few years ago, Leon Washington had 253 yards returning and 2 touchdowns. With this scoring, he would have had 140.5 points just for that game (as opposed to 39.3 at 0.1) and the defense would score 166.5 despite giving up 518 yards that game. 140+ points from one player is almost impossible to overcome (especially if you have the defense and the returner)- not even the best QB game ever would come close to that.

I agree it's too much, but at this point I'm not sure dropping the scoring down to 0.1 would be fair considering everyone drafted their players assuming return men and defenses would be highly valuable. There would have to be some sort of a compromise at 0.2 or 0.3 IMO.

I know that there are teams that want to take advantage of the scoring issue, but there are other teams that thought the issue would taken care of to make the scoring more fair and hence ignored the return scoring and made a balanced team instead of trying to fill their roster with returners. Hell, I have an issue with return numbers being counted for both defensive unit and individual scoring, but haven't mentioned it as no one else seems to care. If people want to keep it at .5 or move it higher/lower, no big on my part.

I don't have an issue with that so much. In most leagues a return man and the D/ST will both score 6 if there is a kick return. This league just counts the yardage as well. I get your point about thinking the scoring would be changed eventually. I wasn't really sure what was going to happen so I drafted a bunch of guys that can put up points as return men or pure WRs/RBs if necessary.

K, From what I can tell most people are wanting it lowered, so I have changed it to .2, hopefully
this will please everyone and help.

Gronk scores - which is good for me - since he's my TE in both leagues.

And of course I got matched up against you in both leagues. Only thing that saved me from a complete disaster was that garbage time TD from Ben to Brown.
