To be consistent Oklahoma would have to go back through Notre Dame's bracket and Notre Dame would have to go back through Oklahoma's bracket.

Other than Oklahoma/Notre Dame, these should be done after this round. You don't have fucking re-matches. Actually it should have been Nebraska/USC for 3rd/4th

Unless of course you're butthurt and can't live with the results from earlier polls. :L

"Let's keep throwing Ohio St at the wall until they stick".
kind of like having game play FSU then the winner of Oregon OSU with the winners playing again for the natty, The format is strange imo

I don't understand why it wouldn't be USC/Nebraska for 3rd and 4th Place.

Why set up the potential for rematches?

The losers bracket is fukity. I guess we'll keep trying until we get a Big 10 team in there.

Pretty much every losers bracket ever works the way this one is working. Of course there is going to be a chance for a rematch in a double elimination setup. Why should USC not have to face Ohio State and why should Nebraska not have to face Bama? It is not like a rematch is going to change much. For example, I doubt enough voters decide to change their mind to sway the 20 point win Nebraska had over OSU

Well that would eliminate the whole "Bama-OSU was the real national championship" arguement. That is what a loser bracket does. It eases the concern of one team having a possible easier road than another.

At least none of the Buckeyes' Heisman winners have murdered their ex-wife and her boyfriend.

Why spend another week debating it? They already lost. If Ohio St beats Nebraska in the do-over will we do a 2 out of 3 to break the tie?

Ohio St is getting drilled yet again.

Ohio St hasn't played Oklahoma or Notre Dame yet. Let's give them a crack at them. Let's keep going until people vote Ohio St out of pure fucking mercy so the polls will end. :L

WHEN Ohio St loses this round, that will be 2 losses (double elimination). Go home, grab some wood, sit the fuck down, go away.

1st, this bracket hasn't changed since the beginning. So, I didn't decide to make a possible rematch because a B1G team lost. SportsHoopla also voted the results.

2nd, I never denied being a B1G homer. I haven't decided if I am sticking with Ohio State.

You're really gonna spend another week on a rematch?

Ok, fine, you can have fifth place automatically? Happy? But you wanted a guaranteed 4th place without going up against Bama. That is wrong.

Now how bout you stop whining and crying over an internet message board poll that someone actually took a lot of his own time and effort to setup to entertain your ungrateful ass during the offseason. Damn you're acting like a little bitch.

So, Alabama can't have a shot at 3rd? If you don't want a rematch, give people good enough reasons to vote for Nebraska over Alabama.

I am not butthurt at all. I am just sticking to the bracket that was set up a few months ago.

So you're gonna have an Alabama/USC rematch as well?

USC already beat Alabama.

Will you be having tie-breakers if one of the teams that lost the first time wins the rematch or just award them that spot since it now meets your narrative?

Once again. How many chances are you gong to give Ohio St to win? They haven't played Alabama, Oklahoma, or Notre Dame.

They're getting crushed by USC. Will Ohio St get another shot at USC? If not, why not?

I don't understand why it matters. It's an internet poll that means next to nothing. It gives us all a chance to yammer on about college football while we kill time during the off season. But in the end, I don't think anyone will care one way or another after the results are determined.

Although it would be kind of funny/fitting if Alabama got a rematch against USC and won, I don't think it's really needed. The discussion has been done really and that is what I thought was the point of it all. There is really no way a repeat is going to generate the same interest.

I'm thinking this recent tear by Red Alert is because the Big Ten isn't as easy as he thought it was going to be. He is blowing up over all things B1G. This format has been in place since the first week and is whining about the set up now. If you don't like the set-up don't come into the thread.
