Why is Mississippi St a top 20 team?

Their worst loss is against Kentucky. They have the win over TAMU. Which teams ranked below them have good wins which outweigh their worse losses?

Northwestern shouldn't be ranked. They lost to Akron and have no ranked wins.

Why didn’t you factor in the Washington/Washington State game into your rankings?

This year, honestly, has been a shit college football year aside from some really good games. Right now, the AP poll, you have 2 3-loss teams in the top 10 and 4 4-loss teams in the top 25. This time last year, there was only 1 4-loss team in the top 25 and no 3-loss teams until Stanford at 14.

There are only 7 P5 teams with 2 losses or less in College Football. Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Washington State, Michigan and Oklahoma.
10 3-loss P5 teams
2 entire P5 divisions where the division champ has 4 losses or more. ACC Coastal (Pittsburgh 7-5) and Big Ten West (Northwestern 8-4).
Pac-12 South has 2 teams with a winning record (Utah and Arizona State)
ACC Coastal has 5 teams with a 7-5 record.

Even the 1 loss teams suck. I struggled the most with Who should go first between Ohio State and Oklahoma. I have a hard time taking a team who could give up 50 points to anyone on a given day seriously, just as much as I have a hard time taking a team who has a blowout loss to a mediocre team and has looked meh against a few other shitty teams seriously.

Yes, they do. I like their team, a lot, but they disappointed this year. They had a lot of shots to impress in the SEC and only showed up against A&M. They scored 16 combined points against all ranked teams not named A&M. You gotta be able to score more than 4 points a game against ranked opponents. That is more pathetic than Oklahoma and West Virginia playing defense you were railing on and on about this weekend.

Well that's why they aren't ranked in the top10. If they had a great offense to go with that defense, they'd be a top10 team instead of just a top20 team.

But you are completely underselling their offense. It wasn't that bad, those teams had good defenses. They played K-State this year, let's see how the Big12 did against that same defense:

Kansas: 17pts
Texas: 19pts
Miss St: 31pts
West Virginia: 35pts

I was excited seeing your rankings until I saw Iowa St. I just don't understand ranking a 7-4 team before bowl season is over. Overall pretty good though.

I tried avoiding ranking 4 loss teams but the pack is simply mediocre and I forgot about Fresno State who I should have ranked

So I went with the two 4 loss teams that have the most impressive combination of wins/losses
