Not just the Pitt game. They've all been close except WCU.

To your point about playing 3 top 20 defenses - who? Alabama is the only quality defense on your schedule thusfar. Somehow you duck FSU and Clemson so the only good ACC team you face is Miami, who will really be the only challenge left on your schedule. The rest of your conference slate is against teams who absolutely blow.

There was a missed horse-collar call at the end of the game that kinda destroyed aTms chance of winning the game and having the fair chance they deserved. Some posters may hold that against Auburn.

Every poll has something that someone disagrees with. I don't know what you think makes ODs poll even close to the worse. There are some things that I disagree with, but it's far from bamabinos level. And, I didn't even see bkballer's or johns poll so...

Every poll has something that someone disagrees with. I don't know what you think makes ODs poll even close to the worse. There are some things that I disagree with, but it's far from bamabinos level. And, I didn't even see bkballer's or johns poll so...

Oh I wasn't really talking about polls. I honestly don't really pay much attention to how other people vote. My thoughts on all that is everyone gets a vote, and the things that are "off" get fixed by the majority.

As for Bama, it's cuz I'm a blind homer.

I let my computer do most of my voting, and I only make tiny adjustments for things I feel are anomalies. I am a very strong believer in SoS, and Alabama's SoS dropped a bunch this week due to all the SEC losses. But I ain't too worried, it'll pick up when I matters most I think/hope.

I don't think so. Yes it's hard for the championship game loser to get in (thanks to a final week loss), but the runner up in the conference winner's division is usually well positioned. That could include Clemson, Wisconsin and Stanford this year.

The SEC is tougher to figure out. I think A&M is actually set up nicely, assuming nobody can beat Alabama, because they've already lost to them. LSU and Auburn would each add another loss, which would make 3 for LSU and a second late in the year for Auburn. The SEC East is a mess, and if Mizzou makes it all the way to the SECCG, and loses to Alabama, then a 2-loss A&M with its last loss in October could sneak in ahead of them. But there's a lot of football left and a lot of games for these teams to lose.

Actually, just realized that A&M and Mizzou play at the end of November, so A&M controls its own destiny. You could see Mizzou go to 11-0 and then lose its next two games (A&M and Alabama in the CCG), in which case a two loss A&M would definitely get the second BCS bid.

Obviously this requires them to win out...
