Dude. It's the Sabanator.

What did you expect?

My rankings are unbiased. I base it off of what's returning, what's gone, how they finished the year before, how their schedule racks up, pretty much everything. I could see Alabama going 10-2 but beating Auburn with Auburn being 11-0 at game time. Or 10-1 with Alabama being 9-2. In that case Auburn would more than likely be top 4, and Alabama would be in the 8-15 range pending on who they lost to. I don't wear SEC Homer glasses. One other aspect I used in my ranking is how I think each team ranked in their conference by potential, and then go across the list and see who would be the best team to put here. Remember, last year UAB gave Miss State all they could handle. They found the weakness and exploited it. Some teams failed to do that against Miss State, or tried to but ended up abandoning their winning formula. Auburn did it last year. They tried to beat Miss State through the air in pouring rain, when they should've been running the HUNH read option. They shit themselves in the foot though.

And Alabama would win that game exactly why?

Now again are we submitting our actual ballots or our FPI ballots?

Big difference there for me

I'm confused as to why some people have Minnesota ranked. Did they find a quarterback who can actually throw a football or was Cobb given an extra year of eligibility while I wasn't looking?

You son of a bitch. Give Missouri the respect they deserve and put them in there before all hell breaks loose.

Well apparently some of these aspects had nothing to do with their ranking lol. They lost 3 games including the bowl game. 5 points to Bama, 14 points to Ole Miss (looked like they had no motivation for the game after the Bama loss), and the GT bowl game they didnt want to be in, but looked like shit anyway. The fact is before they lost to Bama they were playoff contenders. Yes, they lost Robinson and some key defensive guys. But they have some talented receivers and viable backups at running back for Prescott. The offense should still be good, the defense could need some work.
UAB was at the beginning of the season last year lol. Really shouldnt have an impact on how good they are season. An opponents gameplan should not have an impact on how you rank the team. It just seems flawed lol. Really doesnt matter they could have 5 losses and I wouldnt be surprised but that still doesnt take them out of the top 50.

I understand your points and you make some good ones, but please don't say they had no motivation for their rival who they hate more than anyone. The committee had them ranked #4 going into the Ole Piss game and a playoff spot was squarely on the line. They had no motivation? Come on man.

And I'm sorry, but it drives me crazy to hear the age old excuse "they didn't want to be there." I'm calling bullshit on that one too, Shane. It was their first BCS/Big 6 game in school history and a chance at a top 5/10 finish. They'd never been there before. I don't want to hear the "they didn't want to be there" excuse. This is the Orange Bowl we're talking about.
