So much talk lately about expanding the playoff, so lets just get a general feel of the board.
Also... no potato salad.
Also... no potato salad.
No expansion.
I guess my real beef is, once expansion starts, say at 6, then we need 8. At 8 we need 16 etc.To each their own. I had been reading so much talk about it lately and was actually surprised by how many people didn't want/think about expanding the playoff.
Not that it would happen any time soon anyway.

6-8 is fine. No need to dilute the system but its fucking criminal that you have situations where a conference champion is left out because they didn't pass the eye test as one of the "best 4"I guess my real beef is, once expansion starts, say at 6, then we need 8. At 8 we need 16 etc.
Just human nature.
I would go with 6 or 8 if that's it.
But we have to include #9 and #10 becaus ethey could get hot and win it all. You realize that even if we had 8, we wouldn’t have had all the conference champs.6-8 is fine. well, who really gives a shit about the G5But we have to include #9 and #10 becaus ethey could get hot and win it all. You realize that even if we had 8, we wouldn’t have had all the conference champs.
Parity is a lot closer in FCS, they play home games and don't have bowl games, the infrastructure requirements are a fraction of the big schools, money and TV aren't really a factor, and it's really all they have. Those for starters.how the fuck does the FCS have a real playoff system and the FBS doesn't?
Just remember the arguments that caused it to expand to 4. 2 is not enough. The #3 team surely deserved a shot. They have morphed to. 4 is not enough. The number 5 or 6 team deserved a shot. Then once you expand to 8 the argument will become. 8 is not enough the number 9 or 10 team clearly deserved a shot.
This is how you water a championship process down and it happened in NCAA basketball.
