so wait a minute???

you're just essentially ranking teams based off of name??

Yes.

Teams that begin with the letter B;H;F;L;Q and Z are all at a huge disadvantage.

No, but teams that play in tough conferences (IMO) demand more respect (and expectations) than a team from the Sun Belt Conference.

I was just taking a stab at you. :becky:

LOL

I know, I know... but I had them, Clemson & ASU on the brink... so I gave Meeschigan the nod.

You ask why Iowa was ranked in one poll and then put Michigan in your Top 25?? A team running a new, pro-style attack with a spread QB who is fragile?

but think of this

FIU last year lost by 5 to Rutgers, 6 to Texas A&M(they were up 21-6 entering the 4th) and 14 to Maryland that has to command some respect

even though the only reason I'm bringing up FIU is because you ranked Michigan which just like ranking FIU is grasping for straws.

there are much better options than Michigan.

how about Air Force, only lost by 3 to Oklahoma last year and beat the nerds in their bowl game, they return just about everyone too.

not to mention spread recievers and running backs. Also spread offensive lines are usually smaller which will hurt as well.

and that's just the offense

the defense is even worse.

Wait, so you can't really know how good trams are before the season plays out, but you CAN know how good or tough a conference will be?

Well, smartass, it doesn't take a crystal ball to know that the Big10 is/will be tougher than the Sun Belt Conference.

Yea, I am giving Notre Dame the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that they return 18 starters to a team that had 8 wins last year. Plus, they are ND which means they have a ton of talent........and Brian Kelly is a pretty smart guy.

To go along with that, they are coming off of a 4 game winning streak, and 3 of those were against Utah, USC, and Miami. Those teams obviously aren't amazing right now, but Notre Dame looked improved to me by the end of the season.

Not to mention, Notre Dame was 1 play away from winning 3 other games.........so they potentially could have won 11 games last year.

I just think they have too much talent and experience returning in order to not give them a look. With that said, I hate Notre Dame.

Honestly, looking at their schedule......I see them losing to Michigan State and Stanford, and maybe dropping 1 or 2 more somewhere.......but there is no reason they shouldn't win most of those.

Sat, Sept 3 vs South Florida
Sat, Sept 10 @ Michigan
Sat, Sept 17 vs #17 Michigan State
Sat, Sept 24 @ Pittsburgh
Sat, Oct 1 @ Purdue
Sat, Oct 8 vs Air Force
Sat, Oct 22 vs #25 USC
Sat, Oct 29 vs Navy
Sat, Nov 5 @ Wake Forest
Sat, Nov 12 vs Maryland*
Sat, Nov 19 vs Boston College
Sat, Nov 26 @ #7 Stanford

those 3 games you mentioned really weren't won by Notre Dame they were lost by the other team

Utah couldn't do any drive without some stupid penalty, USC had very poor quarterback play and at the end of the game their reciever dropped what would have been the game winning touchdown

and Miami's Quarterbacks don't even know which team to throw to.

you're looking at this schedule in terms of teams that are good.

Notre Dame always loses to Michigan and lately against Michigan State, they suck against Pitt a lot of the time, Air Force will beat them so will USC as long as Barkely isn't injured this time, and Navy should beat them again.

Stanford will win and I don't see any reason why Maryland won't win either.

USF and BC could also beat Notre Dame.

Oh my............I think your glasses are a different tint than mine. I really dislike Notre Dame a lot, but I gotta be honest.........Brian Kelly is the best coach they've had since Lou Holtz, and they have been pulling in bluechip recruits for the past 5 years.

They just have too much talent, and 18 returning starters........that's too much........there is no way they lose that many games.

Again, I could see them losing 4.......MAYBE 5. But Brian Kelly is no slouch.

There is no reason why this shouldn't be the best ND team since Brady Quinn was there....

they had good recruiting classes, but they don't really pan out as great players, the only good players they have on the team are the linebacker and the DUI guy who should have missed games but Notre Dame is apparently a scumbag program that now decides that DUI's aren't serious anymore.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna root for any team that plays ND this year..........that is a guarantee. Not only do I not like ND, but I also never liked Brian Kelly..........and it would make me oh sooo happy to see them go down.
