Only drivers I really can't stand right now are Carl Edroids and Brad Kanblowsme.

I liked both of them at first, but they wore on me over time.

Kurt Busch I couldn't stand for awhile, but that guy has been beaten down more than Rocky and it's hard not to pull for him a little bit after.

And Martin Truex Jr I use to race online with a good bit. He was a huge crybaby back in the day(before he was in a cup car even). I'm guessing he's matured a bit since then, but I kind of like when he has bad luck because I can just hear him crying about it in my mind.

Gordon's dominance slowed down a good bit when Smoke and Jimmie came along.

During his best years, Stewart was just as dominant.
Smoke has 3 championships and 48 wins, 298 top 10's, and 15 poles. Tony has 2 Brickyards.
Gordon has 4 C'ships and 92 wins, 461 top tens, and 80 poles. Jeffie has 3 Daytona 500's, 5 Brickyard 400's, 6 Southern 500's, and 3 Coke 600's. And he won 13 races in one season.

While it may have slowed, he's still more dominant than Tony.

Pretty much all of that for Smoke came after Gordon's last championship. Pretty much in the last 14 years, your champions are:

Jimmie Johnson- 6
Tony Stewart- 3
Kevin Harvick- 1
Brad Keselowski- 1
Kurt Busch- 1
Matt Kenseth- 1

Jeff Gordon and 100 others- 0

I barely remember Earnhardt Sr's last championship. He was my childhood hero, but he was winding down his career when I first started watching, Jeff Gordon was dominant then, but I was pretty young, like under 10. I remember Tony Stewart's dominance in the early 2000's and obviously Jimmie's dominance much more than I remember Jeff's.

Really most of my memories of Jeff Gordon are him bitching, crying and hiding from Clint Bowyer and being a dick head when I met him in Atlanta in the Spring of 2000.

Jeff, Tony, and I are all the same age. When Jeff came along he was the hottest thing since Big E. He was good and everyone knew it and he won races. But just like a lot of them that have followed, the whining starts after a couple seasons and a taste of success. Honestly, I hear them all bitch and moan at some point, it's just a matter of who we want to believe is whining. They've all done it.

Wasn't Gordon kind of screwed out of a few championship due to the chase? Meaning, he would have won more under the old format?

Yes. 3 of them. But even if you want to play the "thing would play out differently" game the fact remains he still ran well enough to be a contender.

Also, if a person thinks less of Gordon because he "whines" then that person has never spent any time around race drivers in any series. They bitch all the time. Every last one of them.

It's quite ironic seeing Harvick fans complain about another driver whining, isn't it?

I don't mind whining when there's a legitimate reason. And I also don't mind it when they don't hide when someone is trying to confront them.

Jeff Gordon cries when he has a dominant car and hides behind his pit crew when another driver wants a piece of him. You won't ever see Gordon confront guys like en Newman or Bowyer, or guys he knows won't back down and would whoop his ass, he'll just grab Brad Keselowski when he has his pit crew surrounding him or push Matt Kenseth and leave his helmet on.

I've never met Harvick, but I have met Stewart, Dale Sr, Ricky Rudd Dale Jarrett and Jeff Gordon. Dale Sr, Stewart, Rudd and Jarrett were awesome. Great guys to talk to and they talked to you like they knew you your whole life. Jeff Gordon was a pompous ass. Harvick and Stewart were best friends and he was pretty much hand picked by Dale Sr to be his replacement, so I'm sure Harvick would be closer to the other 4 than Jeff Gordon if you meet them in person.

I seem to remember Harvick going after Kyle Busch at Darlington, Montoya at Watkins Glen and Nemechek at the All Star race, all with his helmet still on.

Harvick's helmet was off when he went after Kyle Busch with his helmet off. He didn't go after Montoya, Montoya went after him and I think harvick just wanted to talk about it. And he made no physical contact with Nemechek.

Harvick went after Ricky Rudd, you know the one they call the rooster, the one that could have probably whooped any driver in the field when he raced with no helmet. Gordon only goes after the quiet ones like Jeff Burton(where he was easily controlled by Burton) and Matt kenseth(where he was too scared to take off his helmet). Gordon had every right to go after Harvick a while back at Watkins Glen. He didn't. You know why? He knew Harvick would have rung his bitch ass jaws for him. And even the yelling match with Tony Stewart, Gordon was too scared to get close enough for Tony to grab him because he knew Tony would have rocked his world. And Gordon would have just laid down and died if Ricky Rudd ever wanted a piece of him. Gordon is a bitch, a coward and a dick head. I hope he has a one car funeral.

You have an interesting version of the events that take place in this YouTube video. It clearly shows Montoya get dumped by Truex, and Harvick gets collected. Harvick's car comes to a stop a good 20 feet away from Montoya's car, yet Harvick drives his car right over to Montoya, gets out and confronts Montoya, all at the front bumper of Montoya's car.
