THRILLHO
I think it is going to be a lot of funDaredevil's in it from what I'm reading. This movie is either going to be awesome or a complete mess.
If they're bringing Cox in, I hope D'onofrio's Kingpin is soon to follow.

As bad as the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie was I'd rather see the Michael Clarke Duncan Kingpin (if he were still alive that is). The Kingpin from the Daredevil Netflix show didn't really feel like Kingpin.Daredevil's in it from what I'm reading. This movie is either going to be awesome or a complete mess.

The multiverse thing makes the Jamie Foxx cameo make more sense. Don't really care if Electro came back as I think Amazing Spiderman 2 was worse than Spiderman 3 from what I've seen of it. Honestly thought Amazing Spiderman 1 was about in the same category. The sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man 2: Far From Home was originally scheduled to be released on Friday, December 17, 2021, but there is a good chance it will be delayed due to covid.
Today, we got the first major bit of news on the film, from The Hollywood Reporter: Jamie Foxx is returning as supervillain Electro. Foxx previously played Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which was set in a different continuity. There is already precedent for MCU Spider-Man bringing in an actor to reprise a role from a different continuity in J. K. Simmons playing J. Jonah Jameson (Simmons previously played the role in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man series) in Spider-Man 2: Far From Home.
As long as we have dancing Toby, I will be a happy camper...The multiverse thing makes the Jamie Foxx cameo make more sense. Glad they're bringing back Doc Ock though. Just please no Topher Grace as Venom. That casting was awful.

Kingpin is supposed to be a massive dude with genius level intelligence who could take on Captain America one-on-one if he needed to. The Netflix Kingpin was just a sort of fat autistic guy who occasionally had fits of retard rage. If there was some scene where he had to fight Spidey it would be pretty laughable if he didn't get his ass kicked in less than a minute.
It would make sense and be fun to watch at least Peter to be stuck in another/multiple universes for a while. He could interact with a lot of different villains without necessitating them making sense with the existing MCU.Hope the "No Way Home" title doesn't mean they are gonna get stuck in their own multi-verse and away from the rest of the MCU
It could explain a Spidey/Deadpool team up...It would make sense and be fun to watch at least Peter to be stuck in another/multiple universes for a while. He could interact with a lot of different villains without necessitating them making sense with the existing MCU.
The way Vulture and Mysterio were so grounded, they might be looking for ways to incorporate villains who don't need to be explained into the actions of the Avengers. I'd love to see Kraven hunt Spidey.
Trailer leaked, in extremely bad quality, but it's still the trailer:
I loved the multiverse idea and it is a big part of the Spiderman story...at least it seems to embrace it the most outside of Fantastic Four and such....but they are definitely going in that direction with Dr Strange and FF coming into the foldI'm probably in the minority but I thought Into the Spiderverse was way better when it focused on Miles and the multiverse stuff hurt the movie. We've already had two movies to develop this Spider-Man...but...now they're trying to erase that and bring in the multiverse? Maybe they're doing too much here again.
That said, the trailer got me pretty excited.
Yea, I think you're right about where all of this is heading. It would be a good way to get Spiderman out of the MCU, set up a Sinister Six plot, as asll as and let him interact with all of the surrounding Sony, Spiderman-related properties like Venom & Carnage, Morbius, Moon Knight, Kraven, etc. without having to worry about the MCU's overall progression.i could see this incarnation of spiderman indeed getting "trapped" into his own universe at end of movie , maybe thats a way Strange finally helps him out after they sorta fix what they break, at the end he says, the only way this can work is if you leave the main MCU timeline
then we just get a pure Sony version of hollands character in a Spiderman movie around 2023/2024 where they dont have the constraints of moving the MCU story forward, and he can interact with Hardy's Venom, etc
then he gets brought back for Avengers: Secret Wars
