I wouldnt pay him 9 mill per and would be reluctant to pay him 8 mill per but 7 mill and under is very reasonable at todays going rate. Guards are no longer undervalued.

That Long was actually a pretty good C during his short stint at the position... not an All Pro player but more then just a shitty lineman as you describe.

Didn't he have to move to LG but Litch beat him out? Plus he couldnt beat out Lavou for the LG position so he had to be moved back to C. cmon man. This guy is avg at best with versatility.

no that is not at all how it went down.

He started at LG started training at C and brought stability to the position when he replaced Litch. He was always a projected starter going forward including last season

that draft dean gave us a steady diet of morgan moses was a 1st round talent . and he was pissed that we traded down , picked up long and then got TM . what is worse is we got Moses and that offended him because he was a 3rd round

you are about to see when this guy attaches to a player that all others are fuck ups . he doesnt see that we got a bargain in moses , he feels slighted because he thinks he is a jr mel kiper .

this continued with us drafting sherf at 5 overall . he had a woody for leaonard williams and for a few years (until he couldnt make an argument that williams was the better choice ) . williams is in the witness protection program right now

with TM he swore up and down that J atouchu (sp ) was waaaaaaaaaay better then TM and that guy is also in the witness protection program . this year he started squawking about lawrence from that draft but that is another 20/20 hindsight move because he never brought up lawrence until this year

then his real hatred for KC started when he had a wet dream about getting 2 1st rounders so he could be draft king again when that trade never happened yoiu begin to see the play by play meltdown of KC

i am pretty sure J-y19 , shark sportster , socal GK cali , and others who have been here that long can testfy to those things

now what dean doesnt get and will never get is TM , long Fuller grant BB are all guys we drafted and we must have made the right call because teams are paying starter money for these so called stiffs , i have nt even brought up KC
