even with a shitty closer, Lester sucking eggs, Doubrount (cept last night) pitchign horrible, Dempster struggling, Buchholz vacationing, spot starting Aceves they are doing great

they can beat any team in the east cept the O's

This year is all gravy so far

If the Sox are still leading the division and/or right there in the playoff mix a month or two from now......then I'll start getting the yips again

I agree, RSW.

I assumed they'd finish 3rd at best, thinking the Jays and Rays would take the division hostage. I gave the O's a slim chance of repeating, but didn't even consider a Red Sox resurgence.

Considering all the bullshit they have had to endure, it's absolutely incredible that they are where they are. John Farrell might not have been a great pitcher, but he's certainly done a great job managing this team so far this year.
