Watch it again, he didn't so much dive as he slid, it got him into perfect position to make the throw to 2nd...it wasn't "right at him" it was a scorched low liner hit to his left a little. He makes that same play on his feet, his momentum is carrying him away from 2nd base and the throw is much tougher.

I think the reaction, especially on the radio, was a little bit overboard...but he played that perfectly...

if you look closely, you will see wade has lost 3-4 inches on his vertical...he cant shoot over people anymore and hes not quick enough to blow by guys like he used to.

i went over this on CBS during last years playoffs...videos comparing his jumper in 03 to his jumper now (and last year)
