Miggy would still get my Vote for the MVP today.

Davis has a 1.262 OPS with RISP...Miggy is still much better..so credit to him.

Chris Davis has an OPS over 1.000 in all Clutch situations.

Late/Close, Tie, Within 1 Run, Within 2 Runs..

Miggy's hitting over 1.150 in all the clutch situations except late/close.... mostly because they're just not pitching to him

He's getting walked in 25% of his late/close situations. I'd guess that he hasn't been given very many decent pitches in the other 75%

Oh...and Dirt? Buckle up...I still don't think we've seen a "hot" pedroia yet this year....

Slowly putting together his best year....argue all you want? He's been absolutely beastly in that 3 hole this year....

61 runs created....LMAO..only 24 behind Miggy....fuck me he's ridiculous....

He's been great but I'm still confused by why he dove for a ball hit right at him in the top of the 2nd last night

I know you saw it

When you're hitting .508 w/ RISP, you're not going to get a whole lot of non-1st place votes

Its always interesting to see which posters come back from a long weekend still drunk.

Sorry to disappoint, Caca was never an alt of mine.

So that pretty much confirms that it is you.

If it wasn't, you'd have fun with it and make funnies... But since it is, you're pissed...

Makes no difference to me. I'm sure Caca would be here if the site allowed alts..

Davis would probably be a runaway for 2nd right now...and in any other year (to date) he'd probably be neck and neck or the clear favorite...

Miggy is just on another planet right now...

Dustin Pedroia....top 5 consideration right now...true story...

If DH's won MVPs... Ortiz would be neck and neck with Miggy..

The Nick Franklin era begins in Seattle tonight, for all of you who wanted to know. Be afraid, bitches.

I think Prince Fielders impact gets understated often

Miggy is insane, no question. But pitching around him like teams typically would, is not usually an option because Prince is a beast in his own right

From a Red Sox fan? Not yet...he's still only played in about half their games...

Papi is certainly closing that gap pretty quickly..and if he stays healthy? You're probably right and by years end he'll leap frog Pedey in this conversation...but as of today? Pedroia has been their best player...

Disagree totally...

Ortiz may have only played in ~70% of the games...

But a .346 average to go with a 1.010 OPS?

Yeah..

I'll take that over Pedroia's .333 and .873

He's gotten walked 25% of the time in "late and close" situations

As good as Fielder is, like Wade with LeBron, he's an afterthought compared to the "other guy"

I am in everyones head.

Have been for years, you could argue, but you would be wrong.

You made yourself an easy target with your tearful meltdown vs the meanie-pants board mods last week.

It's the entire goddamm team, actually.

I watched the Tigers / Pirates game yesterday as I had (and won) 550 V-Cash on it.

The only player under .300 in the starting line-up for Detroit yesterday was Fielder, at .270. And he got three hits.

Cabrera actually was made to look foolish with breaking balls away. Struck-out twice.

Verlander didn't have his A-Game and struck out 13.

Tigers are going to be difficult to beat in the Playoffs.
