This was NOT the way I envisioned our first two series to go. Not even close to writing off the season yet, but we've already dug ourselves a big hole in a year in which there is a hell of a lot less opportunity to dig out of said hole. I knew our starting pitching was the roster's weak link, but I had no idea it was this weak. Keuchel's performance aside, it has been outright atrocious.

Well, I have zero confidence in Lopez and Rodon. Kopech opting out did massive damage to the team's playoff hopes. It also appears Kopech is a major head case, which doesn't bode well down the road. Keuchel is fine, but he's far from ace. Cease...meh. Giolito looked atrociously bad the other day and I sure hope that was an aberration.

Team just looks out of rhythm and out of sync fundamentally EVERYWHERE. Offense, defense, pitching...

Even in a 60 game season - 5 games is too early to panic. However, if we look like this vs KC? It would be a bit alarming.

Very frustrating start so far. Downright maddening, actually. Very sick of the bullpen entering every game in the 3rd or 4th inning. Like, gaht damn.

that catch made by robert in right field pushing garcia out of the way? i missed that yesterday but its not the first time he's done that. he must have read his own clippings about his range. THAT will become a problem if rick doesn't do something about it. the ball was hit right to garcia and if it were me (and i think he did this) i'd tell robert to get back to his own fucking position. he's not the only one on the field.

I couldn’t believe how far he tracked over.

I am impressed with Robert’s hustle when he puts the ball in play, though. When he beat out that grounder to Lindor, it was refreshing to see.

Robert could have caught the ball Eloy -left the game on with the Twins, but held up - not realizing Eloy was still seeing stars.

If Robert can cover so much ground move the corner outfielders closer to the line.

If we go 2-2 or worse in the next 4, disappointment will be had.
