No, they did not. The other pitch was right on or just off the edge of the zone. This was 8 inches outside. It wasn't even in the vicinity of a strike.

You should not swing at balls with two strikes.

I keep trying to find improvements over the last few years and I’m just not seeing them yet. If the Sox keep losing, guaranteed Hahn says rebuild is nowhere near complete. Hahn is one smarmy bastard.

i'm happy with the bats so far. they're young but the potential looks good to me. it's the pitching i'm pissed about. they did almost nothing to shore up their biggest need ... and i include keuchel in that comment. he's decent but they needed a lot more than decent.
