and when I go in January, coming from temps in the teens and 20s and see people outside in heavy coats because it is below 65 degrees, I have to laugh

A couple of years ago here where I am out toward Palm Springs, we set a record for the most consecutive days in a row over 95F in February. The weather where I live is virtually perfect; sunny all the time; navy blue sky, dry and warm. It doesn't get any better than this anywhere and after 12 yrs, I still appreciate it. Gently swaying coconut palms and 75F in February is heaven.

I read that and posted that here a few days ago. Unless there is a major change of policy in N.Y, the one about people having to be dead to get streets named after them there, this is probably just wishful thinking.

That said, it would be both easy and fitting, as I understand River Avenue is right next to the yard.
